Pollinator Party and Garden Tour!

APALogoRightFaceAndover Pollinator Awareness Project (APAP) to host 2 fun events in July.

Are you interested in giving back to our natural resources? The APAP work group is hosting a Pollinator Party on Thursday, July 21st from 6-9 pm at the YMCA Community Center and a Pollinator-friendly garden tour on Saturday, July 23rd from 9 am-3 pm.

POLLINATOR PARTY: This fun event will showcase exhibitors, bee display, native plants will be available, fun activities for kids, experts to help you with pollinator-friendly landscaping, and refreshments.

GARDEN TOUR: Take a tour around Andover to see some various types of landscapes that are “pollinator-friendly” and are a great example of ways we can give back to our natural resources. This year will feature straw bale gardening, shade and native plantings, rain gardens, bee keeping and how to plant a prairie landscape.

These events are just a couple examples of APAP’s mission to improve our environment to benefit pollinators, such as bees and butterflies and all species of wildlife. For additional information about APAP and its activities, contact:
