Andover Home Show

Andover Pollinator Awareness Group at the 2016 Andover Home Show.

The Andover Pollinator Awareness Group had a great time at the 2016 Andover Community Home Show. Lots and lots of folks visited our table that we shared with the City of Andover Naturalist. The presentation was a huge hit. Folks were able to get their pollinator and tree questions answered in one stop.  We gave away packets of common milk weed and wild flower seeds this year which was very well received.

New this year for the APAP – we are asking Andover residence to take the Pollinator pledge.  Pledging is simple; we ask folks to do one or more of the ten things from Heather Holm’s 10 things you can do for pollinators. When we get a yes, a sticker goes on the City of Andover home site map.  We got lots and lots of yeses! The map proved to be a great tool showing how Andover can be a Bee Safe City.
